The Church has been celebrating the World Day of Migrants and Refugees (WDMR) since 1914. It’s always an occasion to express concern for different vulnerable people on the move; to pray for them as they face many challenges; and to increase awareness about the opportunities that migration offers.
“Building the Future with Migrants and Refugees” is the theme chosen by the Holy Father for the 108th World Day of Migrants and Refugees (WDMR). Pope Francis highlights the commitment that we are all called to share in building a future that embraces God’s plan, leaving no one behind.
We are all looking forward to the International Mass – WDMR on Sunday 25th 2022 at 5.30pm in Westminster Cathedral.
In these last 2 weeks before the Mass, which is always such a joyous occasion in the diocesan calendar, I would like to encourage our community to attend in good numbers that Sunday afternoon (5.30pm);
